Today Hurts

Didn't go to work today. The pain was so bad that it kept me up a lot during the night. I would feel as though I needed to stretch my body as much as I could until I would feel my skin get thin and light in places and my fingers and wrists start hurting, thats usually when my body tells me that your done stretching. Its a wierd feeling to always have that "twange" in your muscles. That they could misfire at any given time. About to go out X-mas shopping. This should be interesting. Sent from my Windows® phone.

Been A Long Time!

Well... It has been far too long since I have posted anything. This is just a post to prepare you for the many posts to come. There have been a few changes medically with my condition but all that will be mentioned soon as well as exactly what ALL my symptoms are. Someone read my posts and commented that I never really mentioned my symptoms. Next post I plan to lay it all on the line and just go from there. "Pride swallowed is virtue earned." Stay tuned. My Life's Question - Mary Jane?

I knew I would do this. I would forget to post for a few weeks. Life just gets going and we get lost in the flow... no matter how rocky it is. Just to recap :: I think that my body is unfortunately getting used to the Neurontin. I feel it gradually reverting back to how it was prior to me taking the medication. I am here at the kitchen table drinking a beer. I used to drink quite a lot about 10-15 years ago. I am lucky to finish a full beer nowadays. Alcohol used to dull the pain... but there is just too much pain and not enough desire to drink. I will say that I am glad I don't have an addictive personality. I would be a pill popper and drink religiously... and whatever else was out there if it helped. I don't though, Thank god. One of the most asked questions that I get is "So have you tried Marijuana?" The answer is, yes. I have tried it. The outcome was mind boggling to me though. You would think that it would help. Hell, I did... but it actually makes it ...

Long time No read...

Neurotin is my best dear friend. I have been on this medication for just a little while and it has been wonderful! The pain is still very much there and reminds me every so often. I just recently started a new job so things have been a little crazy which is why there haven't been any posts in a while. We will be celebrating our 9th Anneversary on Sunday so it might be a few days until I post again. The next post though will include all symptoms that I experience on a day to day basis before and after the Neurotin. Thanks for reading and keeping up with my inconsistency. As I say to family and friends - My name is Mark, I have focus issues. Lol. Still waiting for a drug that will get me out of this cloud I feel as though I am under. Perhaps that will come in time. Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts.

Neurontin-Day 2

Ok, starting day 2. This is really a wonderfully horrible drug. For me anyways. When I take it, about 45 minutes to an hour I feel sick to my stomach. That I can deal with, but the other feelings are pretty bad. My muscles cant seem to fire as quick as they should. Right now, as my fingers type, I started at a pretty standard speed. Now I find myself typing very slow and my mind feels disconnected, almost like I am teetering off a cliff but there is nothing I can do about it so... I just sit or lay down until its over. After a while, I will almost "snap" out of it and I am fine for the most part. It helps with the pain though so hopefully the side effects will lessen the more I am on them. More later. Pill #2 Down The Hatch!

Pill #2 Down The Hatch! Ok, 16 minutes ago #2 was history. I have noticed a pretty significant change in body movement since the first dose. It is almost a night and day type of effect. I still feel the pain but it feels as though the pain receptors are moved a little farther away, almost like if you would turn on a box fan, and sit farther away from it then you would normally. You still feel the air but just not as much as if you were right in front of it. Very odd to have this sensation after 10 years. The Neurontin hasn't healed me, nor diagnosed me, but hopefully will lessen the grip of whatever it is that has a hold of me. Looks like I might have a little better sleep tonight. See you on pill 3. -Sent from my iPod Touch 3G-
